The SIAscope skin scan measures the layers of skin and the amount of haemoglobin, melanin and collagen in the stratum corneum, epidermis and dermis to a depth of 2mm and identifies whether melanin is present in the epidermis or the dermis.  The scans show how these components vary over the detection of melanin changes in all moles.

The SIAscope skin scan also assists in the management of non-melanoma (Basal Cell Carcinoma) and the images are a sharp focus resolution.  This is a non-invasive "Virtual ' skin biopsy to 2mm depth and analysis of melanin pigment, blood supply and collagen skin structure.
